2008-2009 Admissions Policies

Normal Admission Requirements (for incoming students)
in addition to other Registration and Tuition Policies

1. Student must have a C+ or better (or equivalent) grade average in academic subjects during the past two years, with no failing grades (or equivalent), and an acceptable conduct/behavioral evaluation.
   
   
2. All new students entering grades 1 through 8 must take a math and reading test. Kindergarten students must take a readiness test as part of Kindergarten roundup. Students must score no more than one grade level lower than current grade. For example, a student in the 7th grade, 5th month of school should be able to perform at a minimum of 6th grade, 5th month level.
   
   
3. In compliance with state law, students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years of age by December 1st.
   
   
4. Student and parent(s) must have a personal interview with the Principal.
   
   
5. All parents must submit copies of the following:
   
   • Prior two year’s final report cards
   • Most recent standardized test scores (i.e. MEAP, IOWA, California Achievement).
   • Written financial confirmation from previous private school (if applicable).
   
   
6. Principal and specific grade level teacher will review all of the above.
   
   
7. Student(s) and parent(s) agree to abide by the school policies.
   
   
8. All new students will be on probation for one semester.
   
   
9. The school administration reserves the right to judgment in admissions decisions.
